San Diego County residents affected by lung cancer can learn more about the latest treatment strategies, resources and coping issues at a free informational forum Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla.
Sponsored by Scripps Cancer Center at Scripps Clinic and Scripps Green Hospital, “Together, Facing Lung Cancer” will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the conference room of Scripps Cancer Center at Scripps Clinic, 10666 N. Torrey Pines Rd. The forum will feature Michael Kosty, M.D., and Tom Friedman, LCSW and some very special lung cancer survivors. Refreshments will be served and attendees will receive a free book, “The Human Side of Cancer,” by Jimmie Holland, M.D.
The program is open to patients, family members and friends affected by lung cancer, regardless of where they receive treatment. Advance registration is required.
