Chris Van Gorder points to "Being Mortal" by Atul Gawande, MD


Becker’s Hospital Review recently asked leading health care executives to name their favorite book in 2015. Scripps Health President and CEO Chris Van Gorder suggested “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande, MD.

“We have an aging population — we are all mortal — and we have to do a better job with end-of-life care,” Van Gorder said.
