Family medicine doctor Samar Rashid, DO, provides comprehensive primary care services for all ages, focusing on preventive medicine, women’s health and pediatrics. As a DO, she has expertise in osteopathy. A holistic, integrative approach to health care, osteopathic medicine considers the physical, mental and emotional aspects of health and well-being. 

Dr. Rashid is passionate about uncovering and addressing the root causes of illnesses and empowering patients to transform their lives. She listens carefully to her patients and cultivates a compassionate space for them to heal.

As part of her practice, Dr. Rashid enjoys helping her patients through the evidence-based practice of culinary medicine, which uses nutrition and good cooking habits to restore and maintain health. Culinary medicine gives special attention to how food works in the body, as well as to sociocultural and pleasurable aspects of eating and cooking.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Rashid spends time cooking, meditating, hiking, practicing yoga and traveling.
