Daniel Einhorn, MD, has devoted his practice exclusively to the care of adults with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, lipid disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, adrenal disease, parathyroid disease and diagnostic dilemmas that may have a hormonal origin.

The credo of his practice is simple: “People have to walk out of the office saying that this was the best medical experience they ever had. Whatever it takes to do that is what we do.” This includes making sure that their patients have a clear understanding of their endocrine issue and what to do about it.

Most of endocrine diagnosis is in the history, but the availability of specialized endocrine labs, thyroid ultrasound, fine needle aspiration, carotid IMT (for atherosclerosis), bone densitometry, and access to clinical research provides the ability to offer the most advanced endocrine care.

Dr. Einhorn is the president of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, medical director of the Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute and Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSD. He is an editor and contributor to numerous books and articles, including publications from the American Medical Association and the Royal Society of Medicine, and has been a teacher in graduate medical education throughout the world. He is most interested in training physicians regarding the value of the healing relationship between physician and patient.

Working on Dr. Einhorn’s team is Chris Sadler, president–elect of the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants. He is a highly sought after teacher nationally and though tasked with doing some of the most technically challenging aspects of endocrinology, patients love Chris for his compassion and his thoroughness.

After over 25 years in practice, Dr. Einhorn has never felt so grateful to practice in such a wonderful community.
