Mind-body classes for health and wellness

We believe that health and wellness is the result of a healthy lifestyle. Our multi-level classes are designed to help you achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle in a supportive and healing environment. Start fine-tuning your mind-body connection and take charge of your health. We welcome beginners.

Cost

Generally, classes are $15 each, but please call 1-800-SCRIPPS ( 800-727-4777) or the phone number listed by the classes below for specific details.

Parking

  • First three hours: $4
  • Each additional hour: $1
  • Daily maximum: $10
  • Free parking is available for disabled visitors and visitors staying less than 30 minutes.

Group exercise classes

Give your fitness program a boost with a variety of group exercise classes (PDF, 51 KB) offered by dynamic instructors that know how to get you motivated. Aquatic aerobics, spinning and yoga are just a few of the classes that you can use as part of a comprehensive program to achieve your fitness goals. Cooking for health

1st Wednesday of the month

6 – 7:30 pm

Beginning October 3, 2018


Participants will learn how to cook healthy meals, understand why ingredients are chosen and the health benefits of the micronutrients in the recipes. This cooking class (PDF, 210 KB) focuses on disease prevention, reducing obesity and improving chronic health issues.

Kundalini yoga for health and healing

Saturdays, 9 – 10 am

Wednesdays, 5:15 – 6:15 pm


You’ll perform yoga techniques to awaken your energy source. Kundalini yoga blends the ancient techniques of movement (asana), breath exercise (pranayama), meditation (dhyana) and sound current (mantra). These exercises are symptom and system specific. Experience increased intuition, immunity, energy and awareness.

Music and wellness

Mondays, 10:30 – 11:30 am


Learn about the therapeutic use of music for health and well-being by learning different skills, such as: chanting, envisioning, feeling, improvisation, listening, movement, playing, singing, toning and writing.

Resiliency

Fridays, 10:30 – 11:30 am


Each class will include a topic, meditation, sharing and discussion with the group. Different methods of meditation using visual symbols, guided imagery, sound, music or movement will be explored.

Yoga and meditation

Mondays 6 – 7 pm

Wednesdays 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Fridays 9:15 – 10:15 am and 11:30 am – 12:30 pm


Master effective tools including breathing, meditation, relaxation, guided imagery and yoga to reduce pain and improve well-being. From gentle practice to more active and challenging postures, yoga can increase vitality and awareness, teach you to be in touch with your body and help achieve and maintain a sense of well-being.
