Sunil Rayan, MD, FACS
Dr. Sunil Rayan trained in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He specialized in vascular surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, GA which is one of the premier vascular centers in the United States. He is one of the few surgeons in San Diego that is board-certified in vascular surgery.
His expertise includes the treatment of carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms and peripheral vascular disease. Dr. Rayan also treats venous pathology such as varicose veins. He specializes in endovascular or minimally invasive therapies such as VNUS closure, abdominal aortic stent-grafts, and peripheral angioplasty and stenting. He is one of a handful of surgeons in California who is qualified to perform thoracic aortic stent grafting, and carotid artery angioplasty and stenting.
