Scripps Cancer Center Survivor Honored with KGTV's 10 Leadership Award

October 23, 2008

An Oct. 23, 2008 KGTV story covers Scripps breast cancer survivor Cassandra Countryman receiving the 10 Leadership Award. Countryman founded the Scripps African-American Breast Cancer Support Group, which has helped hundreds of San Diegans receive valuable information about breast cancer diagnosis and treatment options.

Also interviewed is Dr. William Stanton, medical director of Scripps Cancer Center at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego.
