Scripps Expert Offers Advice for Managing Multiple Sclerosis

Scripps Health neurologist Charles Smith, MD, recently shared his expertise on the management of multiple sclerosis symptoms with Patch.com readers.

Research has shown that three symptoms—fatigue, depression and cognitive impairment—most impact the quality of life of MS patients. Fortunately, when patients understand their symptoms and work with their doctors to assess them, appropriate treatments can resolve complaints and restore quality of life.
