Scripps Health Leaders Included in Becker’s List of Chief Medical Officers to Know in 2024

Drs. Keswani and Sharieff recognized for their innovative initiatives around patient care
Scripps Health’s co-chief medical officers, Anil Keswani, MD, and Ghazala Sharieff, MD, MBA, were recently honored by Becker’s Hospital Review as two of the nation’s Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) to Know in 2024.
They were the only adult hospital CMOs included in the list from San Diego County.
Dr. Keswani serves as CMO of ambulatory services at Scripps affiliated medical groups, seven major clinical service lines, post-acute care, population health management, executive health and value-based care, including managed care and ACOs, according to Becker’s.
Dr. Sharieff oversees acute care operations, Scripps pharmacy, supply chain, inpatient imaging, engineering, environmental services, food and nutrition, security and disaster/emergency management.
