Since 1991, Geva Mannor, MD, has specialized in cosmetic and eye facial plastic surgery, focusing on the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the delicate tissues around the eyes and face. These procedures include upper and lower eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), eyebrow and forehead lift, cheek and mid-face lift, cosmetic and laser surgery, and wrinkle rejuvenation. He also performs reconstructive surgery for facial (Bell’s) palsy, eyelid cancers and tear duct block. Dr. Mannor believes it’s important to treat every patient like family and seeks to provide all of his patients with a natural, youthful, and rested appearance.
At Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Mannor completed the Honors Medical Program and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. At Harvard University, he earned his master’s degree and was elected Class Marshall. Following ophthalmology training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, Dr. Mannor was a fellow and junior faculty member at Yale University. He co-authored and edited a monograph on eyelid cancer and reconstructive surgery and another on Botox treatment, published or presented more than 100 scientific papers, and has lectured nationally and abroad on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He serves on the editorial board of a scientific journal and reviews scientific manuscripts for several other medical journals. He received the Achievement and Senior Achievement award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Mannor is also very active in the ophthalmology and facial plastic surgery community. He has served on various committees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), Harvard School of Public Health, Georgetown University School of Medicine, Scripps Green Hospital, and Scripps Clinic Medical Group. He is also a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS), the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), and the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress. Currently, he advocates for patients by serving on the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Medical Society. His research interests include eyelid cancer, lacrimal anatomy, and lacrimal surgery.
Dr. Mannor is one of 600 U.S. surgeons who are fellows of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This exclusive society is dedicated “to advanced training, research, and patient care in the aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, orbit, eyelids and tear duct system.” He also evaluates candidates for this society. Dr. Mannor is married and has two children.
