What to Expect

Home health care services are given at the patient’s home. “Home” can be anywhere the patient is staying: a friend or relative’s house, an assisted living facility, a board and care, or even a hotel. (“Home” cannot be a skilled nursing facility, which is a duplication of services.)

Our patients can expect:

Qualified staff

A nurse or therapist case manager will coordinate your home health care, with your physician.

Key time frames

After your physician orders the home care, we’ll contact you and make our first visit within 24 to 48 hours.

Payment

We accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, private insurance and have contracts with most insurance companies. We will bill your insurance for our services. Should you have a copay, we will bill your secondary insurance if you provide the information. (Medicare, Medi-Cal and many HMOs pay in full for our services.)

Visits

Visit lengths vary, depending on your status. The first visit is always longer. After that, visits last approximately 30-60 minutes.

Services

We offer a full range of services. Our professional team includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, home health aides, and dietitians.
