Urgent care can be a more convenient, less expensive alternative to the emergency room, with shorter wait times and quicker treatment. Deciding where to go depends on the severity of your medical problem. If possible, check with your primary care provider before seeking treatment.

Our urgent care facilities offer accessible medical evaluation and convenient treatment for minor illnesses and conditions on a walk-in basis. Wait times are based on the severity of your condition, but are generally shorter than at the e.r. The following locations offer urgent care:

• Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines
• Scripps Coastal Medical Center Vista (Cedar Rd.)

Emergency

Any condition that is life-threatening, or potentially debilitating should be treated in the emergency room. Go to any of the following e.r. locations if you experience chest pain (call 911), head injuries, broken bones or severe joint problems:
