Souped Up Oatmeal Recipe

Are you bored with the same old oatmeal? Well, try this oatmeal recipe that uses fruit and nuts for a new twist on an old classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 cup dry oatmeal, plain
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp wheat germ
  • 1 Tbsp raisins
  • 1 Tbsp almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup blueberries

Directions

  1. Heat skim milk, dry oatmeal and brown sugar on medium heat for about 5 minutes until the oatmeal is cooked. Add in wheat germ, almonds and blueberries. Divide into two bowls and serve.
