Andrew White, MD
Andrew White, MD, believes in building a partnership with his patients. He feels that it’s important to listen carefully to the issues that are troubling the patient in order to guide them to the best possible treatment options.
As an allergist and immunologist, Dr. White treats all types of allergic conditions as well as conditions due to a deficiency of the immune system. Typical allergies may include asthma, hay fever, eczema, food allergies, skin allergies, and hives. He also diagnoses and treats immune deficiencies such as common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) and a variety of other conditions that could lead to an increased risk of infection.
His special areas of interest within allergy and immunology are chronic sinusitis (sinus inflammation) and nasal polyposis (nasal polyps). Aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD), also known as Samter’s Syndrome, is another area of focus. Aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the upper and lower airways that is triggered by aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). He is also interested in vocal cord dysfunction and allergic skin diseases such as chronic urticaria (hives) and atopic dermatitis (eczema). A final area of interest is mastocytosis and mast cell activation syndromes.
Dr. White’s research is directed at aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease, a topic on which he has authored multiple publications and ongoing research protocols.
Outside of work, he enjoys going on adventures with his wife and children, mountain biking, reading, and making music.
