San Diego, CA – Guests at the 17th Annual Spinoff: Auction for Life, Journey of Healing, held on Thursday, May 8, 2008, bid on a lavish catalog of items that helped raise more than $1 million for Scripps Cancer Center, Stevens Division, on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
More than 450 guests at the special evening, chaired by Bobbi Martini and Dorothy Menish, bid on hundreds of luxury items during a silent and live auction. The evening’s highlight was when Jeanette and Byron Webb, Jr., were honored for their leadership and support to Scripps. During the past 20 years, the Webbs have dedicated their time, talents and resources to help Scripps Cancer Center, Stevens Division, provide top quality care for cancer patients and their families.
Spinoff: Auction for Life proceeds will benefit programs and services at Scripps Cancer Center, Stevens Division, such as cancer prevention, early detection, education, patient support services and clinical research programs. Funds raised will also help provide state-of-the-art technology and equipment, allowing our physicians and staff to deliver top quality care.
