Patients Who Beat the Odds Reunite with Scripps La Jolla Trauma Team
The Greatest Gift of All – A Second Chance at Life
WHO:
Survivors of motor vehicle accidents, gun shot wounds, serious falls and other traumatic accidents will reunite with their Scripps La Jolla caregivers at the 24th annual Trauma Patient Reunion. This heartfelt reunion provides former trauma patients and their families a chance to reconnect with their trauma team and share in the celebration of life with others who have survived against all odds.
WHAT:
The annual holiday party – always well-attended by patients, doctors, nurses, therapists and other staff members – gives former patients the opportunity to meet with others who also survived life-threatening situations. Another powerful and rewarding aspect of the gathering is the opportunity for the trauma staff to see the results of their remarkable care, compassion and medical expertise.
