Sunflowerguy.com Donates 15,000 Flowers

At Scripps, the sunflower illustrates a world of healing. That symbol was brought to life on Nov. 14, 2008, when more than 15,000 sunflowers were delivered across all five Scripps hospital campuses, enhancing the healing environment for our patients and their families.

Throughout the day, sunflower bouquets were distributed to patients who expressed their appreciation for the heartwarming gesture. The generous donation was made possible through a corporate partnership between Scripps Health, KPRI radio and sunflowerguy.com, a Vista-based company that is one of the largest distributors of sunflowers in the U.S.
