Scripps Breast Cancer Patient Shares Proton Success with U-T San Diego

When Anastasia Custis Berkheimer was diagnosed with cancer in her left breast, she did her homework on all available treatment options. Having a heart condition meant that her treatment would need to be especially accurate. Anastasia decided on proton therapy at the Scripps Proton Therapy Center, and after successful treatments, she remains in good overall health, and is free from evidence of cancer today.
