In the latest “Savvy Patient” article in the San Diego Union-Tribune, Carl Rossi, MD, summarized key proton therapy research studies presented at the 54th annual Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group (PTCOG) conference in San Diego. The studies involve a wide range of adult and pediatric cancers and show the clinical benefits of proton radiation, which spares more healthy tissue than conventional X-ray radiation.
