Apple today announced that Scripps Health is among nearly 40 health systems across the country that have joined the Apple Health app platform.

That means Scripps patients with a MyScripps health portal account can view their most important medical records, right alongside their other health data, on their iPhone and other iOS devices.

"Apple has long been a leader in increasing consumer access to personal health information, and Scripps is excited to be part of this new initiative," said Scripps Chief Information Officer Andy Crowder. "This announcement is the latest example of how Scripps is expanding its patient-centered focus by providing more options for patients to access their medical data in a safe and secure way, whenever and wherever they want."
