Pandemic accelerated access to video, phone health services

A recent CBS 8 story about the expansion of telemedicine services during the pandemic featured David Wetherhold, MD, Scripps Health’s chief medical information officer for ambulatory services.


He noted that telemedicine consultations at Scripps jumped from 20 a week before the pandemic started to 60,000 visits in April 2020.
