Description

Learn skills that are beneficial throughout postpartum recovery.

Explore a variety of ways to ease discomfort during labor. In this interactive discussion, you’ll learn about relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, and comfort measures you can use at home or in the hospital. Topics include the role of your support person, helpful labor positions, tips for using a birthing ball, and information about aromatherapy as a comfort option. We recommend you also take a Childbirth Preparation Course (Online Childbirth or In Person). This can be a good refresher course for expectant families.

It is recommended that you attend this prenatal class after approximately 32 weeks in your pregnancy.

Bring two pillows and a blanket or yoga mat to class.

Expectant partners are encouraged to attend together – one registration per couple is required.

Please see current visitor and patient guidelines.

Download and print our campus map. Classes are held in the Schaetzel Center. Park in the underground parking, Lot A. Parking will be validated.
