Information for patients and visitors

Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa in San Diego, Scripps Cancer Center, John J. Hopkins serves Scripps patients from across the region. Nearby landmarks include Torrey Pines Golf Course, Black’s Beach and the north campus of the University of California, San Diego.

Covering 45,420 square feet, the two-story Scripps Cancer Center has the capacity to treat approximately 1,200 patients annually. The center provides comprehensive treatment options with leading-edge technology in a compassionate, comfortable, modern setting.

At our radiation therapy centers across San Diego county, we provide compassionate and high-quality care together with state-of-the-art radiation therapy technologies, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), breast radiation therapy including prone technique, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), and high dose brachytherapy.

The Scripps radiation therapy centers have been awarded accreditation by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) through APEx — the Accreditation Program for Excellence®. The APEx accreditation program validates a radiation oncology facility’s excellence in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Accreditation through APEx is a voluntary and rigorous multi-step process including equipment, modalities, techniques, and oncology information and treatment planning systems used at each center. The accreditation demonstrates our continued focus on safety and quality and our commitment to patient-centered care.

There are two ways to enter our campus from North Torrey Pines Road. The entrance on the east side at John J. Hopkins Drive routes you to the Scripps Cancer Center and parking lot. The entrance on the west side at John J. Hopkins Drive routes you in front of Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines (Geisel Pavilion), where there is open and covered parking. Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines parking lots are connected.
