City Commission Approves Scripps Encinitas Hospital Expansion Plan
Commission cites community's need for more medical services
The City of Encinitas Planning Commission voted unanimously on April 3 to approve the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas expansion plan, citing urgent community need for more medical services. The commission moved to award building permits and approve the final environmental report for the project.
The Scripps Encinitas hospital expansion includes plans for expanded inpatient and emergency care services, medical offices and a parking garage.
