'Eat Like a Marine' Thank You Reception

On August 18, Scripps and MedAssets executives hosted an “Eat Like a Marine” reception for those who helped raise more than $155,000 for the Marines from the Dark Horse Battalion. The reception honored local Marines who served Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) for guests and spoke about their experiences in Afghanistan. The money raised by Scripps, MedAssets and other corporate partners allowed the battalion of Marines and their families to travel to Las Vegas to attend a special Homecoming Ball in June.
