Music that Heals

Rod Salaysay is a firm believer that it takes more than modern medicine to nurse a patient back to health. Salaysay, a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Scripps Memorial Hospital, uses music therapy to help heal his patients. The veteran nurse sings, plays his guitar, and often times, writes original songs for his patients. An album of Salaysay’s original songs was recently produced and is available for purchase.
