Scripps Cardiologist Discusses New Changes to Statin Guidelines
New guidelines, issued on Nov. 12, by the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology, call for twice as many Americans — one-third of all adults — to consider taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs as a preventative measure for heart attacks and strokes.
