Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most common lung diseases in adults.

COPD — chronic obstructive pulmonary disease — is a progressive disease of the lungs that makes it hard to breathe and is one of the most common lung diseases in adults. It is marked by difficulty exhaling because of changes in the lungs, shortness of breath, chronic cough and production of large amounts of mucus.
