U-T Features Story About the Legacy of a Special Teen
Following the unexpected death of their 15-year-old son, the parents of Eric Paredes established the Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in school age children and adolescents.
With the aid of volunteer partners such as Scripps cardiologist Dr. John Rogers, and sponsors including Scripps Health, San Diego Project Heartbeat and Cardiac Science, the Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation has screened more than 13,000 adolescents.
