Catherine Wentz’s health was in rapid decline when she arrived at the Scripps Encinitas emergency department in November 2008. The Rancho Santa Fe resident was placed on a breathing tube and put into an induced coma while Scott Eisman, MD, led her medical care team. Combining science, patient history, tests and deduction, Dr. Eisman found the right path to return Catherine to health. Now Catherine has a new Thanksgiving tradition — delivering a basket of treats to the Scripps team that helped save her life.
