Baby Boomers are a big force behind the use of computers and wireless technology to deliver health care more quickly, conveniently and efficiently to patients, according to a report from Hospitals & Health Networks.

One way Scripps Health is exploring this trend is through a software-based program called Care4Today, which is designed to improve patient recovery from a heart attack or other heart problems.

“It provides more efficient tracking of patients,” said Christopher Suhar, MD, director of Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, which is testing the program.

The Hospitals & Health Networks article, "Baby Boomers Expect More Out of Health Care," is no longer available.
