Scripps Expert Discusses Advances in Pancreatic Cancer Treatment
Darren Sigal, MD, involved in multiple research studies at Scripps
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network recently held its annual PurpleStride fundraising walk to support research to fight the disease. The San Diego Union-Tribune covered the event and interviewed Darren Sigal, MD, a co-founder of Scripps Clinic’s pancreas and bile duct cancer group. Dr. Sigal said a number of treatments have shown promise in clinical studies, with some drugs now moving closer to approval by the federal Food and Drug Administration.
