As technology companies develop devices that electronically track patient vital signs and even when they take certain medications, questions are being raised about how that information might be used by both the patient and other parties, according to an article by the health and medicine news website STAT.


“We need legislation, we need tech solutions, we need to vet this stuff among ethicists — but not enough attention is being paid to this,” said Scripps Translational Science Institute Director Eric Topol, in a quote from the article.
