After cancer treatment at Scripps in 1986, Russ Zinser has led an active life

The San Diego Union-Tribune and Encinitas Advocate newspapers published articles about 30-year leukemia survivor Russ Zinser, who spoke at a cancer survivors day celebration at Scripps Green Hospital in June 2016. Russ said having a game plan for what he would do with his life after treament played a key role in his recovery. Following treatment, he has written two books and has kept active with rock music, running and golf.


David Leopold, MD, of Scripps is also quoted about the growing role of integrative medicine in helping cancer survivors with issues such as pain and anxiety after their cancer treatments are completed.
