Shawn Evans, MD, says chemicals can cause serious injuries

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla emergency medicine specialist Shawn Evans, MD, recently appeared on KUSI TV's morning news program to discuss the dangers associated with a "challenge" fad among teenagers — eating Tide detergent pods.


Dr. Evans warned that pods contain toxic chemicals and that chewing or consuming them can result in serious short and long-term injuries.
