Shawn Evans, MD, tells NBC 7 flu season is not over

Shawn Evans, MD, an emergency room physician at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, reminded the public that "we are not through with the flu season" and urged caution during a recent interview with NBC 7.


County figures show flu-related deaths have reached 174 this season and that the number of flu-related emergency room visits were up. Dr. Evans reminded viewers to protect themselves against the flu by getting vaccinated.
