Shawn Evans, MD, an emergency room physician at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, recently urged people to be cautious about a new local service that offers to send a nurse to your home to administer a saline-based IV solution to help you rehydrate and get over your hangover.


“I wouldn't consider this to be an effective medical therapy,” Dr. Evans says, adding there are less expensive and safer ways to treat a hangover.
