Scripps Health President and CEO Chris Van Gorder recently used his emergency medical training to help a passenger who became ill during a flight to San Diego. Van Gorder is a licensed emergency medical technician (EMT) and a reserve assistant sheriff in the San Diego County Sheriff Department.
