Unique paired kidney donation involves three young couples

Good Morning America covered an inspiring story out of Scripps Green Hospital, where three people received live-saving kidney transplants in January. The unique procedures involved a series of paired kidney donations among three young California couples, performed in a single day. Randolph Schaffer, MD, transplant surgeon and director of the living organ donor program at Scripps, shared his insights with Good Morning America. Dr. Schaffer is also a Scripps Clinic physician.
