National, Local Media Look at Rise in COVID-19 Cases in South County

A number of national and local media outlets recently reported on the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the southern part of San Diego County and its effect on Scripps Health.

Juan Tovar, MD, physician chief operations executive at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista, shared his insights into what he and his fellow caregivers are seeing on the front lines of patient care.

Scripps Health President and CEO Chris Van Gorder also weighed in on what should be done to better monitor the virus' movement across the border.
