Scripps ER Geriatric Program Featured in Media Coverage

As the nation’s elderly population continues to grow, hospitals across the country are adding specialized services to their emergency rooms that focus on geriatric patients, according to a recent Becker’s Hospital Review article.

Andrew Accardi, MD, Scripps Health’s director of the emergency department careline, said that all four Scripps emergency departments received geriatric accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians.
