Dog Auditions Aim to Rebuild Canine Therapy Program After COVID

With canine therapy volunteer numbers being half of what they were before the start of the COVID pandemic, Scripps Health looking to recruit more dogs and their humans to participate in this much loved and valuable program.

CBS 8 reporter Jenny Day recently visited Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla where staff from the volunteer program auditioned several dogs to see if they have what it takes to provide comfort to patients and staff.
