Kimberly Harper, MD, is a nephrologist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of kidney conditions. With more than 20 years of experience, her areas of expertise include polycystic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease, kidney stone prevention, electrolyte problems (sodium and potassium levels), chronic kidney disease, in center and home dialysis, kidney transplantation and high blood pressure that is difficult to control.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Harper conducts research on kidney disease and hypertension. Dr. Harper is the associate division head of nephrology and a clinical professor of medicine at Scripps Clinic. She is also active in the medical community as a member of the American Society of Nephrology.
