New Investigation Treatment for Heart Failure w/Reduced Ejection Fraction HFrEF1

Inclusion Criteria
Patients must:
- Be between 18 and 80 years of age
Be diagnosed with heart failure for at least 60 days
Have an ejection fraction less than or equal to 35%
Have an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD)
Be NYHA Class III meaning symptoms while performing some activities of daily living but are comfortable
Exclusion Criteria
Patients must not:
- Have a new diagnosis of heart failure previously untreated.
Have had Cardiac surgery, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), valvuloplasty or valve replacement within 90 days prior to screening.
Have a diagnosis of, or treatment for, any cancer within the last 5 years except for Grade 1 prostate cancer, basal cell carcinoma or carcinomas in situ where surgical excision was considered curative.
Additional Info
*The treatment involves a one-time infusion in your coronary arteries. This involves undergoing cardiac catheterization.*There will be 11 visits over approx. 1 year with reimbursement for travel expenses
*Biannual telephone calls will occur to check on your health status for 4 additional years
* Visits include physical examination, lab tests, echocardiogram, 6-minute walk test, and ICD
interrogation.
