Conference Overview
The New Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Disease conference will highlight the latest concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of IBD. Disease complications, special population considerations, and surgical options will also be discussed. The course will be taught by nationally known experts who are actively involved in clinical trials and studies related to the management of Crohn’s and colitis. Physicians will be provided with the necessary context to integrate the relevant information into their practices to improve the quality of life for their afflicted patients.
Educational Objectives
After attending this live activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize recent clinical trial data regarding the next generation of therapies in inflammatory bowel disease.
- Describe surgical approaches to treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
- Identify current and future monitoring and therapy options for inflammatory bowel disease.
- Identify treatment challenges in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

Maintenance of Certification
American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 11 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
American Board of Pathology (ABPATH)
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the learner to earn Lifelong Learning (CME) credit toward the CME requirement(s) of the American Board of Pathology’s Continuing Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP credit.
MOC points will be awarded to physicians who successfully complete the requirements outlined in the post-activity evaluation. Points earned will be reported to the appropriate specialty board approximately 60 days post conference as long as all learner requirements are met. These credits will not appear on your CME certificate from Scripps.
Attendance and Cancellation Policies
Attendee Cancellation, Substitution and Refund
The course tuition is refundable, minus a $100 processing fee (MD, DO, RN, PA, NP) or a $50 processing fee (Fellow, Resident, Student), if your cancellation is received in writing no later than Friday, August 30, 2024. Attendee substitutions are allowed, but notification must be made in writing by August 30, 2024. After this date, under no circumstances will refunds, credits, or substitutions be granted. No refunds or credits will be given to “no shows.” No refunds shall be made for cancellations due to inclement weather.
Scripps Conference Modification or Cancellation
Scripps reserves the right to modify the course’s schedule or program as necessary. Scripps also reserves the right to cancel this conference, in which case a full refund of the registration fee will be provided. Attendees who purchase non-refundable airline tickets do so at their own risk. Scripps encourages the purchase of travel insurance as we are unable to refund any travel costs (flight, hotel, etc.) in the case of Scripps cancellation.
Health and Safety Waiver and Assumption of Risk
By completion and submission of the online registration form, attendees certify that they have read and fully understand the Health and Safety Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
Family and Guest Attendance Policy
All conference activities and meals are exclusively reserved for paid conference attendees. Children and family members are not allowed to attend meal functions or permitted in the meeting space.
Recording and Photography Clause
Scripps reserves exclusive rights to record (audio and video) and/or photograph all conference proceedings for use in marketing materials, presentations and course content sales.
