Convenient same-day care in Hillcrest

HealthExpress provides walk-in or telemedicine care in Hillcrest for minor illnesses and injuries. Select immunizations are also available. Caring for those 5 and older, HealthExpress is here for you and your family when you need medical care the same day, including evenings, weekends and holidays. 


Located near the corner of Washington Street and Fifth Avenue, our providers offer same-day care for a number of communities near downtown San Diego, including Hillcrest, University Heights, Mission Hills, North Park and Bankers Hill.


The clinic is available in the early mornings, during business hours, in the evenings and on weekends. Parking in the underground structure is free with validation from HealthExpress.


HealthExpress is located inside Scripps Coastal Medical Center Hillcrest on the fifth floor inside Suite 508. There is a dedicated check-in area. However, self check-in is also available at the kiosks located right outside the elevator. 

Walk-in clinic services and payment options

Scripps HealthExpress accepts most health insurance plans, and your visit is billed as a primary care office visit (excluding sports and camp physicals). If you are paying out-of-pocket or making a co-pay, we accept credit cards, cash and checks.

* Fee at the time of service for sports and camp physicals is $70 (not billed to insurance). Sports and camp physicals are for clearance purposes only and are not comprehensive, annual preventive well visits. Please visit your primary care provider for your annual physical and well visit.
