HealthExpress provides walk-in or telemedicine care in Mission Valley for minor illnesses and injuries. Select immunizations are also available. Caring for those 5 and older, HealthExpress is here for you and your family when you need medical care the same day, including evenings, weekends and holidays.  


We are located on the second floor of Scripps Clinic Mission Valley - Building 7565. There is a dedicated check-in area staffed by a patient service representative. Self check-in is also available at any kiosk. 


Conveniently located in the heart of Mission Valley and Fashion Valley, our same-day, walk-in clinic provides care for a number of diverse communities in San Diego, including Old Town, Linda Vista, Serra Mesa, Normal Heights, University Heights and Mission Hills.

Walk-in clinic services and payment options

Scripps HealthExpress accepts most health insurance plans, and your visit is billed to your insurance plan as a primary care office visit (excluding sports and camp physicals), as well as any tests in the office. These charges may include things such as rapid strep test, blood glucose and X-rays. If additional tests or X-rays are needed, you will be billed separately.


When you are paying out-of-pocket or making a co-pay, we accept credit cards, cash and checks. Pricing below reflects the “cash pay” option for patients who opt to pay out-of-pocket for their visit and do not intend to submit a claim to insurance.

Point-of-care testing - $12 - $41 (Point-of-care testing is only conducted with an office visit.)

If additional testing is required, you will be billed directly by the lab.


Sports and camp physicals - $70

* Fee at the time of service for sports and camp physicals is $70 (not billed to insurance). Sports and camp physicals are for clearance purposes only and are not comprehensive, annual preventive well visits. Please visit your primary care provider for your annual physical and well visit.
