New Rancho Bernardo Clinic to Open in September
More quality care will soon be within reach for residents in North County’s inland communities. Construction of Scripps Clinic’s new 146,000-square foot outpatient care facility in Rancho Bernardo is moving ahead faster than anticipated. It is now scheduled to open in September of 2008—two months sooner than initially scheduled.
In response to a growing need for health care, Scripps Clinic broke ground on the building in October of 2006. It will replace the current Rancho Bernardo clinic, which is located across the street at 15025 Innovation Drive.
The new state-of-the-art facility will be twice as big—and better. It will feature additional services and new technology. Enhancements will include more primary care; a high-tech, fully-digital imaging center; expanded urgent care; on-site ambulatory surgery; and improved parking.
More than 80 physicians and 250 employees representing 30+ specialties will practice at the new Rancho Bernardo facility. Those specialties include the following:

Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 15 and Highway 56, Scripps Clinic was the first multi-specialty health care provider in the Rancho Bernardo area. “We have served this community for more than 20 years," said Larry Harrison, Scripps Clinic CEO. “The new facility reaffirms our commitment to helping our neighbors in Rancho Bernardo and in the surrounding areas get well and stay healthy.”
