Scripps Cancer Center is sponsoring a free eight-session therapeutic writing
workshop for people living with a cancer diagnosis. The program is open to men and women living with cancer, and you don’t need to be an experienced writer to participate.

About the writing workshop

In the difficult journey through cancer, writing can help. When you write together and share your experiences, it can help you:

  • Express the complex emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis
  • Gain perspective and cope more effectively with life’s hardships
  • Nurture your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being

Sharon Bray, Ed.D., will lead the workshop. She’s a breast cancer survivor and a
respected figure in the expressive writing field. Sharon’s previous workshops at our cancer center have received rave reviews, and Sharon has developed quite a following

She regularly travels across the U.S. to speak and offer writing workshops at cancer centers and cancer survivors’ conferences.

Scripps Cancer Center is a nationally recognized leader in cancer care and research, and the only Commission on Cancer Network Cancer Program in California.
