Scripps Cardiac Care Unit Profiled in Nursing Publication
The Cardiac Care Unit at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla recently appeared in an article in the October issue of Bold Voices, the official publication of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). The article tells the story of one grateful patient and his family that took each of his 80 caregivers on a San Diego Bay cruise. The patient, Robert Lichtman, is the father of KNSD 7/39 anchorwoman Susan Taylor.
The story also highlights how the Scripps La Jolla CCU was the first in the region to receive the prestigious AACN Beacon Award for meeting evidence-based standards of excellence and patient safety.
